Salt - Salt Trilogy Bk 1

Author(s): GEE Maurice

Teen (Ages 15+)

Hari's father has been captured and enslaved to work in Deep Salt. Hari vows to rescue him, a forbidding task: Deep Salt is the most feared of Company's mines. No one knows what's being mined there - no one ever returns to tell. But Hari was born and raised in Blood Burrow. He's tough and smart - and he can communicate with animals. Pearl is on the run, fleeing an arranged marriage. She and her mysteriously gifted maid Tealeaf have escaped from Company, the privileged society she was born into, and they're being pursued. When their paths cross, Hari and Pearl soon realise they must discover the secrets of Deep Salt. It's not just a quest to save Tarl - the world is on the brink of unspeakable terror. Salt is an utterly compelling fantasy adventure, the work of a master storyteller at the peak of his powers.
