Description

Solving crimes and chasing bad guys is what Cassie Hart does best ... on paper. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect to do it in reality. Sean Hedley and Neil Armstrong both have ulterior motives for trekking into a rainforest with Cassie. Bullets fly and she is left with partial amnesia, wondering who is friend and who is foe. But who is she, and why would someone want her dead?

Author description

Sandy Paull was born in Mackay on the central Queensland coast. She gave up work to follow her future husband to the mining communities of central Queensland and subsequently became a full-time mother to her three children (now all adults), returning to the workforce in her mid-40s to contribute to her and her husband's mutual goal of overseas travel. She enjoys an active life, avidly enjoying gymnastics and playing basketball as a junior, eventually coaching schoolgirl basketball when a mother. She has had a long association with Kyokushin Karate, achieving the status of Qld Women's Senior Kata Champion at age 39. Creativity and persistence are two key drivers in her life. Sketching, macrame, sewing dance costumes, designing and carrying out her own home landscaping, learning keyboard and guitar and fiction writing are examples of her imagination and determination to master new skills. Sandy started writing 17 years ago, initially for her own enjoyment and these days to challenge herself to impress others sufficiently to achieve publication. She has been a member of the Mackay Writers group as well as the U3A (University of the Third Age) Writers Group. She was recognised as the farthest solo traveller to attend an annual writers' conference in Melbourne in 2002. Sandy acknowledges vital guidance and encouragement from a founding member of the Mackay Writers who is also a published author, journalist and editor. Apart from her current completed novel, Sandy has written six other first draft manuscripts, which await editing and proofing."
