Matteo Cossu was born in Italy and raised in New Jersey. After finishing his studies in Fine Arts at University of Bologna he proceeded to study book publishing at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, specializing in production and editorial design. He worked as a designer and production specialist for diverse companies such as Southern Records, Acantilado and Quaderns Crema. Now a Barcelona resident, he splits his time between design work in his studio (KNOTS) and as an editor for maomao Publications. Graphic design apart, his interests lie in traditional printing techniques-mainly silkscreen and engraving-contemporary visual art and music.
