Brendon is a troublemaker and he's always getting on the wrong side of his terrifying headmaster. When he leaves his unfinished homework at school he knows that if doesn't have it ready for the morning he risks being in detention for ever. When Brendon and his sister go back to school after dark, they get a whole lot more than they bargained for. They find themselves transported back to 16th October 1863: the very day the school burned down. If they can't find a way to escape, they'll burn down with it. Turns out, some things are scarier than detention ...
