When Emily's two-year-old son David did not show an interest in reading, but thought anything involving the word 'toot' or 'poop' was hilarious, Emily got an idea. She decided to write a book about David's favorite subject to help encourage a love of reading. Amazingly, it worked Emily was born in Kettering, Ohio and grew up the oldest of seven children. She attended Ohio Northern University, and moved back to Dayton, Ohio to be close to family. She is an attorney by day, and a busy mom, wife and hobby writer outside of work. She lives with her son David and her husband Stephen. In her spare time, Emily enjoys reading, writing, ziplining, and spending time with her family.
