MASSIMO MAMBRETTI, born in 1957, made his first approach to the world of automotive journalism when he was in his early 20s. He began in the publishing sector as a contributor to the Gazzetta dello Sport. In 1980 he joined the edito-rial staff at Rombo, and two years later he joined the editorial staff at the Prove su stradasector of Quattroruote. Next he went to Gente Motori, and in the late 1980s he became special correspondent for the weekly Auto Oggi. In 1997 he chose to become a freelance professional, complementing his activity in the edi-torial sector with that as Director of the Press Office for the Bologna Motor Show and the Turin Salone dell'automobile. Successively he returned to working full-time in the publishing world, and he currently collaborates with the periodicals Il Giornale, Il Sole 24 Ore, Automobilismo, and La mia auto. For some time now he has participated as a commentator for RAI's broad.
